Tomales Bay is one of the most stunning kayaking destinations in California. Rent a kayak on your own or with a group of friends or family and paddle along the granite cliffs and forested hills of Tomales Bay. Bring a picnic and enjoy one of the Bay's secluded beaches accessible only from the water.

At Blue Waters Kayaking we have a large assortment of single and double sea kayaks, including closed and open deck kayaks. Included in the rental fee is an introductory kayak lesson and your equipment such as spray skirt, paddle, life vest, pump and paddle float. Open-decked kayak rentals also include a wet suit.

OUR RENTAL POLICY: To reserve a closed-deck (sit-inside) sea kayak, one person in the boat must have completed a Sea Kayaking Basic Skills class (SKB) or equivalent, including capsize recovery and re-entry techniques. Otherwise closed-deck trips must be guided. Open-deck kayaks available for rental with no prior training.

OUR MOTORBOAT SUPPORT POLICY: Motorboat support is available to transport camping gear, equipment, and food from our MARSHALL site to your campsite at Marshall Beach or Tomales Beach and back. The fee for this round-trip service is $25 per person to our rental customers, with a $150 minimum. If you want to go to a beach further away than Marshall or Tomales Beaches, then we will negotiate a separate price. Motorboat service is available to BWK customers only.

NOTE: One motorboat load usually accomodates 6 campers. One loead in volume is approximately 4'w x6.5'l x2.5'h, 65 cu ft, (about a small pickup truck load), and is up to 600 lbs. in weight. BWK reserves the right to charge extra for loads exceeding these guidelines.
